Saint Hildegard ‘s remedy for rheumatic pain.

Rheumatic or arthritic pain is a common condition affecting many people, especially the elderly. To relieve pain, we often use various types of painkillers which are not indifferent to our bodies. Fortunately, Hildegard’s medicine cabinet has the perfect remedy for this type of ailment – a mixture of spices with celery seeds called SELERIA. This medieval concoction can effectively improve our health and well-being without negative side effects.

What is Seleria?

It is a mixture of spices consisting of: powdered celery seeds (60%), rue, nutmeg, saxifrage and cloves.

St. Hildegard’s advice

A man suffering from arthritis, (…) his limbs tremble and in some places become tense, should grind into powder celery, as well as one third of rue seeds and nutmeg, cloves and saxifrage. Eat this powder both on an empty stomach and after a meal, and arthritis will go away, as it is an excellent remedy against this disease. Moreover, if one who is not afflicted with arthritis consumes this powder frequently, he will avoid this ailment and suffer no harm from it.”
